Perth Shamrock’s played the Championship Semi- Final against Michael Cusack’s at the weekend. The boys in green where first out of the blocks & Gary White registered an early goal in the first few minutes to set them on their way.

Perth Shamrock’s played the Championship Semi- Final against Michael Cusack’s at the weekend. The boys in green where first out of the blocks & Gary White registered an early goal in the first few minutes to set them on their way.
Some great hooking & blocking from the forwards put huge pressure on the Cusack’s back line, which resulted with two points from Neil Kelly. Mark Fitzgerald, Gary White & Keith Dwyer got fine scores from play & one to fifteen where dominating there position. Willy O’ Dea, Shane O‘ Mahony & Chris Kavanagh also got scores from play & at this stage all the forward line had contributed to the scoreboard . Cusack’s kept at their task & were rewarded with a well worked goal & a point by the end of the first half which left the sides 1 - 11 to 1 -1 at the break.
Shamrocks got the first score of the second half from Mark Fitzgerald but Cusack’s responded with a goal, which was buried to the back of the net. Some changes saw the introduction of Trevor McGrath & Brian Higgin’s into midfield & the forward line for Shamrock’s. James Mullally was also introduced in the lateral stages of second half & contributed with a score from play.
Overall, it was a fine performance from the squad of players & ended 1 – 21 to 2 – 4. Gary White had a man of the match performance with a personal tally of 1 -7. We now face Imokilly in the Final of the Kentz Senior Championship.
