Perth Shamrocks & Imokilly took to the field last weekend in severe weather conditions to play Round 6 of the Kentz hurling league. The shamrock lads played in aid of a cross field breeze & Keith Dwyer registered Perth Shamrocks first score from play. Fast ball from Shane O Brien & Sean Lahert resulted with points from Shane O Mahony, Eamonn Fitzpatrick, Brendan Coady & Dave McNamara. Imokilly replied with two placed balls before Dave McNamara rattled the back of the net for Shamrocks.

Michael Doherty, Niall Teehan & Kevin Ryan were dominating there positions in the back line. Keith Dwyer & Willie O Dea contributed with 2 further scores from play before the half time whistle.
Imokilly regrouped & came out stronger in the second half. They scored three points in concession before Shane O Mahony settled Perth Shamrocks nerves with a point from play. Niall Teehan & Liam Leahy delivered accurate ball to Keith Dwyer & Eamonn Fitzpatrick which resulted with scores.
The game was a tight contest for the last ten minutes as Perth Shamrocks led by three points. Eamonn Fitzpatrick & Willie O Dea again produced scores which ended the game Perth Sharmocks 1 – 20 to Imokilly 0 -18.
Overall, a hard contest between two potential candidates for the hurling championship.
